What is the author’s main argument or point

| February 14, 2018

Write a page long (300-400 words) summary that summarizes the attached article. The page summaries should have no more than two paragraphs and should provide the main points of the reading. Must answer the following questions: What is the author’s main argument or point? What evidence do they provide in support of this? Select one or two specific examples. How did they obtain this evidence? Must briefly describe the author’s research method. What is their conclusion? The style of the summary must be specific and concise. Avoid vague statements such as “Smith talked about online arguments.” Instead identify what Smith said about those arguments: “Smith suggests that people tend to be more argumentative online, due to the increased potential for anonymity.” The aim of the summary is not to critique the article, but rather to concisely describe it. Include some of your own reactions and explain the reasons for your reactions with evidence or quotations.
