The purpose of this assessment is to develop your ability to work as an Organisational Development Practitioner. OD Practitioners often work in teams and are required to use analytical, problem solving and presentation skills when working for an organisation.

During your class, your tutor will allocate one case study per group from the following list. The group is to present their case study in the corresponding week and tutorial.

The Group Presentations will require students to present the analysis of a case study as a team of Organisational Development Practitioners in a Human Resource Management Consulting Firm. This means that students take on the role of a team of external consultants that uses the ‘Case Analysis Guidelines and Form’ provided in the textbook on pages 25 and 27 to:

    identify the problems
    discuss the cause/s of the problems
    determine the organisation systems affected and why
    discuss alternatives (how it could be done differently)

make recommendations by outlining the plan, intervention and implementation process for the solution
