Persuasion
Think of a time when you were persuaded by someone to make a donation, volunteer for a cause or vote for a candidate (for this week’s discussion let’s not focus on direct sales such as car sales). What was it about the persuader’s presentation that influenced you to go along with him or her? What kind of questions did the persuader ask you to understand your needs then figure out a way to convince you that his or her solution would meet your needs?
