Due on Sunday 11/18

Directions: Review your life and the challenges discussed in the assigned readings; think of the most challenging transition listed in the readings that you faced as you moved into adulthood. After recalling this challenge please respond to the following prompts.

In your post, DO NOT discuss your own family.
The total post is a minimum of 3 complete paragraphs with citations from the textbook, internet resources and references at the bottom of your post. Roughly 250-300 words total

Part one: In one complete paragraph of at least 7 sentences, minimum, describe the challenge you have chosen, using information directly from the text.

Discuss how the readings informed you more fully about the transition you chose and the challenges that families have as they navigate that challenge. You must use information directly from the textbook and provide page numbers, chapters, and passage.
Include why the person’s relationship with parents/caregivers is an integral component of this transition.

Part two: In one complete paragraph of at least 7 sentences, minimum, discuss any family dynamics that might contribute additional stress to the situation, including parental/family challenges such as a divorce, unemployment, illness, incarceration, death, expectations related to race, ethnicity, gender, social class.

Provide and discuss information from the readings that identifies one specific family dynamic you would address with families who are facing this transition. Be sure to provide page numbers, passages, chapters, quotation marks.

Part three: In one complete paragraph of at least 7 sentences, minimum and after conducting Internet research, provide two total community resources, one formal and one informal, that you would recommend families access during a similar life cycle transition.

Describe the links you have offered. What services do they offer?
Explain why you have chosen these resources, what makes them beneficial?
Include the internet links to these community resources.
Include your references at the bottom of your post

Submission: After you post your initial post, reply to two or more of your classmates’ postings (three additional postings are needed for an “Exemplary” grade).

When responding to your classmates, using both the readings and module material, offer them an additional family dynamic a counselor might address in their situation. Be sure to offer and cite material directly from the readings and module material and provide passage, page numbers, chapter, and quotation marks.
Using the Internet as a resource, also provide an additional formal or informal community resource that differs from the community resources they mentioned in their post, and differs from the community resources you included in your initial post. (Meaning this has to be a new resource and one that is not mentioned in either your post or their post).
Be sure to describe the resource you have offered. Explain why you think this would be a useful resource, what make it beneficial?
Provide an Internet link to this community resource.
